Estate sale addresses will be announced the day before the sale. Please check our website, or click here to be added to our mailing list. A ledger will also be provided at all sales if you wish to add your email address that way. Principal Estate Sales will never give your personal information away, nor will you ever receive any spam mail from us. You will receive sale announcements only, or in the event of a reschedule, you will receive any pertinent information for that as well.
Our sales are generally held on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm, and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm. This helps to accommodate everyone’s work schedules. To prevent excess wear and tear and/or damage to the residence, generally a maximum of 25 people will be permitted inside at any given time. As people exit, the capacity will be kept at that amount. If the sale is currently at maximum capacity, you will be given a number at the front door by one of our staff so as to ensure your place in line.
Payment for items may be made via cash, credit card, or paypal. We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. An additional 3% fee will be added to your total for credit card or paypal purchases to cover processing charges. Checks may be accepted at our discretion and only with proper ID. A $35.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks. All items are sold As-Is. We do not issue refunds or exchanges.
Large Item Pickup/Delivery
Delivery/transportation services available - please see one of our sales staff for quotes and arrangements. There may be times when we are too busy to move large items out in the middle of a crowd of people. If this is the case, we may request that you come back later in the day to pick up your item(s).
Rescheduling of a Sale / Limited Parking
There are very few situations which may result in the reschedule of a sale (unexpected road work at the address, level 3 or higher winter weather advisories, etc.). In the event that this is required, we will post updates to our website, our social media sites, our advertising methods, and our email list. There are also times when there will be limited parking at a residence. If this occurs, please be respectful of neighbors and other patrons. Please park carefully and legally at all times. Do not park in the grass unless it is indicated that it’s ok to do so. Roadside parking only; driveways are reserved for people who need to pick up large items. We do not assume any legal liability for parking accidents and/or fines associated with illegal parking.
While at the Premises
Please be respectful of the owner’s items. Please be careful going up and down stairs, as some of them in older houses can be quite steep. Principal Estate Sales is not liable for any falls, injuries, and/or accidents incurred on premises.
Take note of our bidding box, which will be stationed near the entrance/exit. If you see an item that you want, but do not want to pay what is marked and we can’t reach a reasonable negotiation, you may leave your name and phone number along with the item you desire and the price you are willing to pay in the box. Should the item is unsold at the end of the sale, we will call you and discuss your offer.
